Calcada Collection
This is my first collaboration with Schumacher and I drew inspiration for these trims from travel in Portugal several years back. The Calcada tapes and fringe are a derivative of my Handwoven Calcada Rugs which is based on the patterns of the beautiful, practical and long lived sidewalks of Lisbon, the calcada Portuguesa. Made using a tightly packed cotton warp faced pattern, they are woven with a thick, raw linen creating a strong ribbed effect. Mill woven in England of cotton and linen yarns.

Carmo Collection
The Carmo tapes are inspired by the majestic ruins of the 14th century Convento da Ordem do Carmo, I am in love with the grace and beauty of the convent’s arches and how they stand bare against the sky. Using a linen pattern float on a fine cotton base, the wide and medium tapes have an arch-like effect while the narrow tape and the gimp provide a lovely compliment. Mill woven in England of cotton and linen yarns.
