I always strive to create livable textiles. I want my textiles to be truly incorporated into people’s lives and so I focus on not only beautiful design and craftsmanship, but longevity and the ability to stand up to years of regular use.

For these rugs, I focused on combining a handwoven technique that has a long tradition of durability with particular attention to the quality of materials. I chose a tightly spun, long staple, Egyptian cotton for the entire rug for both durability and ease of maintenance. The rugs are washable though a weekly vacuum is all that it is generally needed to keep them bright and beautiful.
